初一英语周记80字以上(My First Week of English Study in Grade 7)
Exciting First Impressions
I can hardly believe that I have started studying English in junior high school! As a seventh-grader, English is one of the major subjects that I am required to learn, and I find it very exciting. My first English class began with a friendly greeting from my teacher and some ice-breaker activities. We introduced ourselves in English, and I was impressed by how confident and fluent some of my classmates were. I can already tell that this is going to be a fun and challenging journey.
Helpful Study Strategies
During our first week of English study, we focused on building our vocabulary and mastering basic grammar rules. My teacher provided us with a lot of helpful resources such as flashcards, word lists, and practice exercises. I found that memorizing words and phrases in context was the most effective way for me to learn new vocabulary. My teacher also encouraged us to speak in English as much as possible, and she corrected our mistakes in a positive and constructive way. I feel that I am making steady progress thanks to her guidance.
Interesting Learning Activities
One thing I enjoy about learning English is the variety of fun and engaging activities that we get to do in class. For example, we watched a short English movie and discussed the plot and characters in English. We also worked on group projects where we had to use English to present our ideas and opinions. I found these activities to be very challenging but also rewarding. They pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me improve my language skills in a more natural and enjoyable way.
Surprising Difficulties
As much as I love learning English, I have also encountered some unexpected difficulties during my first week. One challenge for me is understanding native English speakers when they speak too fast or use slang expressions. I often have to ask my teacher or classmates to explain what they mean. Another challenge is writing coherent paragraphs and essays in English. I am still struggling with organizing my thoughts and expressing my ideas clearly in writing. However, I am determined to overcome these obstacles through hard work and practice.
Ambitious Goals
My short-term goal for English study is to pass the upcoming vocabulary quiz with a high score. I plan to review all the words we have learned so far and practice using them in sentences. My long-term goal is to communicate effectively in English, both in spoken and written forms. I hope to achieve this goal by developing good study habits, exposing myself to a wide range of English materials, and seeking opportunities to use English in real-life situations.
