缘起时起,缘尽还无,不外如是英语(When the Bond Began, and When It Ended A Tale of Fate)
The Beginning of a Beautiful Friendship
They say that friendships that begin in childhood are the strongest bonds that one can form. Indeed, it was the case for my friendship with Jane. We met in first grade, and we were inseparable ever since. We shared our dreams, our hopes, our fears, and everything in between. We even made a pact to be best friends forever, and we took it seriously.
Growing Up Together
We went through everything together. We experienced our first crushes, our first heartbreaks, and our first successes. We had our share of fights, but they never lasted long. We always found a way to come back to each other. We had different interests, but we always found a way to support each other’s passions. We were each other’s cheerleaders, confidantes, and partners in crime.
The Turning Point
Everything changed when we went to college. We went to different schools, and we were busy pursuing our own dreams. We stayed in touch, but it wasn’t the same as before. We grew apart, but we tried our best to hold on. However, life had other plans for us. Jane fell in love with someone, and she moved across the country to be with him. I was happy for her, but I couldn’t help feeling a little left behind. My own life was going through some changes, too.
The Silent Years
We lost touch for a few years. Life got in the way, and we didn’t make an effort to reconnect. We both assumed that we were moving on with our lives, and that our friendship was a thing of the past. However, fate had other plans for us. One day, we bumped into each other in a coffee shop. It was awkward at first, but we soon fell back into our old ways. We caught up on everything we missed, and we were surprised to find that we still had a lot in common. We promised to stay in touch, but we both knew that it wouldn’t be as easy as before.
The End of the Road
We stayed in touch for a while, but we couldn’t keep up with our promises. Life got in the way once again, and we slowly drifted apart. We stopped responding to each other’s messages, and we stopped making an effort to stay in touch. We fell out of sync, and we knew that our friendship was coming to an end. It was a bittersweet realization. We had grown apart, but we still had so many memories of each other.
The Legacy Lives On
It’s been years since I’ve spoken to Jane. I still think about her from time to time, and I wonder what she’s up to. I miss her, but I know that our paths were meant to diverge. Our friendship was a beautiful chapter in my life, and I’m grateful for the memories that we shared. I believe that everything happens for a reason, and that our bond was meant to happen, and end, at the right time. Fate brought us together, and fate led us apart.
There’s no need for regrets or what-ifs. Our friendship was what it was, and it will always have a special place in my heart. I’m reminded of a quote from a novel that we both loved: “I always thought it was what I wanted: to be loved and admired. Now I think perhaps I’d like to be known.” Jane knew me better than anyone else, and I knew her just as well. We knew each other’s souls, and that’s enough to last a lifetime.
